Weekly Structure: Learn, Practise, and Progress
Each week of the EF Complete French Course is organised as follows:
Day 1 + Day 4
Vocabulary
Build your vocabulary with over 150 bilingual word lists and 600 vocabulary games spanning more than 4,500 French words. These modules include:
• French-English word lists with colour-coded gender (blue = masculine, red = feminine)
• Audio recordings to improve pronunciation
• Four interactive games and exercises to practise spelling, memory, and usage
• Spaced repetition: every vocabulary list is repeated at least twice over the course to support long-term retention
Day 2
Listening & Reading
with “Learn French with Anthony” Podcast
Develop your listening skills and comprehension using graded podcast episodes aligned with your level. For each episode, you get:

Day 3

Day 6
Cultural & Thematic Immersion
Each Saturday (or sixth day of study), you’ll engage with additional content to broaden your exposure to French and deepen your cultural understanding.
A1: Learn about the history of the French language, start phonetics, and read the A1 graded reader Une Nouvelle Vie en France
A2: Study French phonetics in more depth and read the A2 graded reader La Vie en France
B1–B2: Use the “Explore France with Anthony” podcast to explore six major cultural and societal themes (art and literature, French cuisine, society and daily life, French history, contemporary culture, travel and geography)
C1: Use the “Fluent French with Anthony” podcast to perfect your French, discussing contemporary issues while exploring major works of French literature.
Each podcast episode includes a transcript and a translation in English, vocabulary activities, and video quizzes.
